Interni – E-Commerce SEO
Interni: Organic Impressions on a New E-Commerce Subdomain Rose 4,775% in 3 Months
Through our SEO and GEO work for shop.interni.com.tr, Interni's new e-commerce subdomain, organic impressions rose 4,775% from the starting level in the first three-month measurement period; in other words, organic visibility reached about 48.7 times its starting level. Growth continued in the following period: total organic impressions in just the first 23 days of August were about 135% above the total for all of July.
This project for Interni started with a different SEO problem from improving an existing website's organic performance. Because the new e-commerce platform went live on the shop.interni.com.tr subdomain, the search visibility of its category, collection, brand and product pages had to be built largely from scratch.
So our main goal was not just to get more pages indexed. We aimed to connect a large e-commerce catalog of premium tableware, kitchen and professional gastronomy products more accurately with how users search: by brand, product, collection, use, material and need.
When technical SEO, category architecture, product information structure, semantic relationships, internal linking and content clarity were handled together, the new subdomain quickly started to build a clear curve of organic visibility. The 4,775% increase in organic impressions in the first three-month measurement period was the clearest result of this growth.
About the Client and the Project
Interni has a wide product range that brings premium international brands and high-end collections in tableware, kitchen, bar and professional gastronomy to professional users and consumers.
Building the new e-commerce platform on the shop.interni.com.tr subdomain opened a new area of organic growth for the brand, but it also created a different SEO need. Because the new structure had limited search history, getting search engines to understand its category, collection, brand and product pages correctly and connect them with the right queries became one of the project's top priorities.
Unlike the organic growth work we had previously done for Interni's main website, the focus here was for the new e-commerce subdomain to build its own area of visibility in organic search.
Goals and Key Challenges
Project Goals
The main goals we set for Interni's new e-commerce subdomain were to:
- Grow the new subdomain's organic search visibility measurably in a short time.
- Connect category, collection, brand and product pages with the right search intents.
- Make the product structure clearer not only for brand and model queries but for searches about use, material, design and professional needs.
- Make technical SEO and the content and category architecture work together.
- Strengthen the relationships between category, collection and product pages through internal linking.
- Make content easier to understand for AI-powered search and answer systems as well as classic search engines.
- Turn organic visibility into a sustainable growth curve rather than a one-off jump.
Key Challenges from an SEO and GEO Perspective
Building organic visibility on a new e-commerce subdomain requires different planning from improving performance on an established website. Because the main domain's organic history does not transfer automatically and fully to the new structure, the new subdomain's own technical, semantic and content relationships have to be built correctly.
- The new subdomain had a limited search and performance history.
- Many categories, collections, brands and products had to be presented to search engines with the right relationships.
- For premium and niche products, user searches can be more specific and terminology-driven.
- Category and search intent boundaries between similar product groups had to be drawn clearly.
- Technical SEO, content structure and internal linking had to work together within the same architecture.
- Content had to be made clear and easy to process for both classic search engines and AI-powered search systems.
So we did not treat the project as indexing or technical SEO alone. We assessed all the core layers that affect organic visibility on the new e-commerce site together, from category architecture to product information and from semantic relationships to internal links.
Our Strategy and Solution
Building the Technical SEO Foundation for the New Subdomain
In the first phase, we reviewed the technical SEO setup of shop.interni.com.tr and addressed the areas search engines need in order to crawl and interpret category, collection and product pages properly.
On a new e-commerce site, we assessed the technical infrastructure not only for indexability but for how sustainably the growing category and product catalog can be managed in the future.
Category, Collection and Search Intent Architecture
We took into account that users don't search for Interni products only by brand or model name. We built different search intents, such as use, product type, design feature, material, collection and professional need, into the category and content architecture.
By clarifying which query groups each category and collection page should be associated with, we aimed to create a clearer structure in which pages answer different user needs instead of competing with each other.
Strengthening Product Information and Semantic Relationships
We focused on presenting products not only with technical names but with clearer, more useful information that users may need while deciding. By strengthening the relationships between products, categories, brands, collections and uses, we built an information architecture that helps search engines understand the site structure more clearly.
We also treated internal linking as an important part of this structure. By strengthening links between related categories and products, we aimed to help both users and search engines reach related content on the site more easily.
SEO- and GEO-Ready Content Structure
We developed category texts and product information not just around keyword use but to answer users' real questions and search intents more directly. In the content, we focused on explaining more clearly what each product is, which need it meets, which uses it relates to and which features set it apart from similar products.
The aim was to move the content into a structure that both classic search engines and AI-powered search and answer systems can understand more easily. The 4,775% result shared in this success story, however, refers to the change in organic search impressions, not to GEO visibility.
Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement
We tracked the new subdomain's organic performance regularly to see which categories and content areas were creating new visibility, how query coverage was expanding and where new optimization opportunities were appearing.
This way, we did not leave the work as a one-off technical setup or content optimization; we managed it as an SEO and GEO structure that keeps improving with the organic data.
Results
In the first three-month measurement period of our work on Interni's new e-commerce subdomain, the following results were achieved:
- Organic impression growth: about 4,775% compared with the starting period.
- Organic visibility: reached about 48.7 times the starting level.
- Continued growth: total organic impressions in just the first 23 days of August were about 135% above the total for all of July.
- Search reach: the range of queries in which category, collection and product pages appear in search results widened.
- Growth curve: organic growth was not limited to a one-off jump in the first period; it kept rising in the following period.
The 4,775% increase in organic impressions and organic visibility reaching about 48.7 times its starting level are two ways of describing the same change. They are used together to express the same growth more clearly, not as separate success metrics.
The August figure is a separate indicator of continued growth. It compares the first 23 days of August with the whole of July. Exceeding July's total by about 135% before the month was even over shows that the growth of the first three months continued into the following period.
Why This Success Mattered
The first thing that makes Interni's e-commerce case important is that the work was done on a new subdomain rather than an established site with years of search history. The new structure's organic visibility reaching about 48.7 times its starting level in the first three months showed that handling technical infrastructure together with category, product and content architecture can deliver measurable results in a short time.
Second, the case showed that for e-commerce sites with wide product portfolios, SEO is not just about getting product pages indexed. When the relationships between categories, collections, brands, products and uses are made clear, the site can gain visibility across a wider and more meaningful range of queries.
Third, the work is a strong example of how SEO and GEO can be handled together on the same information architecture. Content that answers user questions clearly, clarifies product and category relationships and has strong semantic context gives AI-powered systems, as well as classic search engines, a more solid foundation for interpreting it accurately.
Building Visibility from Scratch on a New E-Commerce Subdomain
Our work for Interni showed that a new e-commerce subdomain can build meaningful organic visibility in a short time with the right technical setup, category architecture, product information, semantic relationships and continuous optimization.
Organic impressions rising 4,775% in the first three-month measurement period, to about 48.7 times the starting level, and the first 23 days of August delivering about 135% more organic impressions than all of July showed that growth continued into the following period.
This project is a separate success story from the SEO and content marketing work we did earlier for Interni's main website. You can read about the organic growth and ranking results on the main site in our Interni main website SEO success story.

The performance results in this success story are based on organic impression data recorded for shop.interni.com.tr in the relevant measurement periods. The 4,775% increase and the roughly 48.7-fold level are two ways of describing the same change in organic impressions. The August figure is a separate indicator of continued growth that compares the total for the first 23 days of the month with the whole of July.
What You Wonder
In the first three-month measurement period, organic impressions rose about 4,775% from the starting level. In other words, shop.interni.com.tr's organic visibility reached about 48.7 times its starting level.
No. Both describe the same change in organic impressions in different ways. A 4,775% increase means reaching about 48.7 times the starting level, so the two figures should not be read as separate success metrics.
The main performance comparison is based on the project's first three-month measurement period. In this period, organic impressions rose about 4,775%, and growth continued into August.
Yes. Total organic impressions in just the first 23 days of August were about 135% above the total for all of July. This showed that the growth of the first three months continued into the following period.
The core areas of work included technical SEO checks, category and collection architecture, search intent optimization, improved product information, stronger internal linking and better semantic relationships between category, brand, collection and product pages.
Content was structured not only for classic search engines but so that AI-powered search and answer systems can interpret it more easily. Answering user questions more clearly, clarifying product and category relationships and strengthening semantic context were the core parts of this approach.
No. The 4,775% increase refers to organic search impressions. GEO was part of the approach used in the project, but the performance metric described here is organic search visibility, not AI visibility.
A new subdomain may have limited search history, and the main domain's past organic performance does not transfer automatically and fully to the new structure. So the technical structure, category architecture, product information, internal links and content relationships need to be planned specifically for the new site.
The existing Interni success story covers longer-term SEO and content marketing on the main website. This case focuses on early organic visibility growth for the new e-commerce structure built on shop.interni.com.tr. Although both belong to the same brand, they are separate success stories because of their different domain structures, periods and KPIs.
It shows that on a new e-commerce site, or one with limited search history, measurable organic visibility can be built in a short time when technical SEO, category architecture, product information and semantic content relationships are handled together.
