AI Visibility Analysis
At Magna Dijital, we measure how your brand appears today in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews answers: which questions you are mentioned in, where your competitors stand out, whether your site is cited as a source and whether the information given about you is correct. We deliver the first report, together with a prioritized roadmap, within one week.
This analysis is the first step we take before starting GEO work. It lets you see where you stand before deciding what to fix. You can find the full picture of how GEO, AEO and AI visibility fit together on our AI Visibility: GEO and AEO page.
What Do We Deliver in the Analysis?
At the end of the analysis you don't get a single score, but six parts that help you make decisions:
| Deliverable | What's in it | How it helps you |
|---|---|---|
| Baseline report | In each engine, how many questions mention you, how many cite you as a source and where you rank in recommendation lists. | Shows where you stand today; we compare every later measurement against it. |
| Competitor comparison | How often, with which sources and on what grounds your competitors stand out for the same questions. | Shows which questions you trail in and what your competitor relies on. |
| Source map | The sites AI engines use when answering: your pages, your competitors, lists, directories, news. | Shows which outside sources you need to appear in. |
| Technical readiness findings | Technical issues that make it harder for AI engines to read your site: crawl access, sitemaps, structured data, page structure. | Separates out the technical barriers to visibility. |
| Accuracy check | Whether AI answers give wrong, incomplete or outdated information about your services, industry and achievements. | Turns the places where your brand is described incorrectly into a list of fixes. |
| Priority list and roadmap | Quick fixes, medium-term content and source work, technical tasks; a measurement cycle and a re-measurement recommendation. | Makes clear what to do first and how to track progress. |
How Does the Analysis Work?
The analysis runs in six steps. For the first two, all we need from you is your target market, your language and the companies you see as competitors.
What Do We Measure?
We don't give a single "visibility score," because being mentioned, being cited and being recommended are different things. We count each one separately:
| What we measure | What we look at | Why we look at it separately |
|---|---|---|
| Visibility per engine | Where you stand in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and any other engines in scope, one by one. | Each engine uses different sources; appearing in one doesn't mean appearing in another. |
| Question coverage | Which questions you appear in, and which you don't appear in at all. | We read visibility across the whole question list, not by a single question. |
| Mentions | Whether your brand name appears in the answer. | Being named doesn't mean your site is cited or that you are recommended. |
| Citations | Whether your site, or a source that mentions you, is shown as a source in the answer. | Shows which pages the engine trusts. |
| Recommendation context and rank | How you are presented in lists and comparisons, and where you rank. | Being on a list and being recommended with strong reasoning are different things. |
| Competitor visibility | How often, and with which sources, your competitors appear for the same questions. | Lets you read your position against your competitors, not only in isolation. |
| Sources | Your pages, outside sites, lists and directories used in the answers. | Shows where you are strong and where you fall short. |
| Technical readiness | Crawl access, sitemaps, structured data, page structure, internal links, content readability. | Technical readiness isn't visibility itself, but it shows the barriers in its way. |
| Accuracy of information | Whether your brand name, services, achievements and official information are passed on correctly in the answers. | Appearing isn't enough; you need to appear with the right information. |
How Do We Diagnose Problems?
"We don't show up in AI" never has a single cause. We match each situation we see with possible causes, check which one the evidence supports and make recommendations accordingly:
| What we see | Possible causes | What we check | What we recommend |
|---|---|---|---|
| The brand doesn't appear at all, or is rarely mentioned. | What the brand does isn't explained clearly, content is missing, outside sources are weak, or competitors have a content and source advantage. | The brand story, service pages, outside sources, the pages competitors stand out with, and the question list. | Priority content, brand story or outside source work. |
| The brand is mentioned but not cited. | There is no quotable content on the site, and outside confirmation is weak. | Which sources are used in the answers, the content and case pages on your site, outside confirming sources. | Strengthening citable content and proof pages. |
| The brand is described with the wrong service, industry or claim. | Contradictory information on the site, outdated content, inconsistent outside profiles. | Official information, service pages, success claims, schema, outside profiles and old content. | A list of fixes: what changes on which page and which profile. |
| Competitors appear more often or more strongly. | Competitors have a content, proof, outside source or research advantage. | Which questions competitors stand out in, with which sources and on what grounds. | Content, proof, source or research needs based on the gaps against competitors. |
| There is a technical access or readability problem. | Crawler access, page rendering, schema, sitemaps, internal links. | Magna GEO Auditor findings, a technical crawl and site architecture. | A prioritized list of technical fixes. |
| Measurements are inconsistent from period to period. | Engine variability, or changes in the question list or measurement period. | The question list, engine, date range and raw answer records. | A clarified measurement protocol and a re-measurement plan. |
How Do Our Tools and Expert Analysis Work Together?
In the analysis we use our two tools and our expert team together. The tools produce the data; the expert analysis tells you what that data means and what should be done first.
| Source | What it provides | Its limit on its own |
|---|---|---|
| Magna AI Analyzer | Mention, citation, rank and source data by question, engine and competitor; in other words, the visibility observed in AI answers. | It shows the data; it doesn't set priorities for your business. |
| Magna GEO Auditor | Your site's technical readiness: crawl access, sitemaps, schema, page structure, internal links. | It audits technical readiness; it doesn't measure visibility or guarantee being recommended. |
| Expert analysis | Diagnosis, interpretation, prioritization and a roadmap, in the context of your business goals and competitors. | Sound interpretation depends on measurement and audit data. |
That is why the analysis is not a paid version of the tool or an extended technical report. For details on the tools, see our AI Visibility Tools page.
We Run This Measurement in Our Own Research Too
We apply the same method at industry scale and publish the results. From our research measuring the AI visibility of Turkish manufacturers in the German market:
| Research | Scope | Key finding |
|---|---|---|
| AI Visibility of Turkish Automotive Suppliers in Germany 2026 | 328 observations, 103 distinct company names. | Overlap between engines: 40.9% for Europe-wide queries, 3.5% for Türkiye-focused queries. |
| AI Visibility of Turkish Furniture Manufacturers in the German Market 2026 | 4 AI engines, 300 observations, 77 distinct company names. | Overlap between engines: 14.8%. |
| AI Visibility of Turkish Apparel Manufacturers in Germany | 5 platforms, 265 observations, 106 distinct company names. | Overlap between engines: 2.1%. |
These findings show that engines recommend very different companies for the same question. That is why we measure each engine separately in the analysis. You can find all of our studies on our Magna Research page.
What Happens After the Analysis?
Once you have the roadmap, you can move forward in one of three ways:
- Leave the work to us: We implement the roadmap with measurement, fixes and monthly reporting. (GEO Services)
- Move forward with your own team, with direction from us: We show your team what to do, and we run the measurement. (GEO Consulting)
- Solve a specific area: If content or Q&A structure stands out, GEO-Ready Content or AEO Services.
For our measurement glossary, protocol and limitations, see our GEO Methodology page.
The Limits of the Analysis
No analysis can guarantee a place in ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews; the engines vary, and the same question can produce different answers on different days. That is why we always give results together with a defined question list, engine, language, country and date range. Our diagnoses are expert interpretation, not definitive cause-and-effect claims; in the report we show clearly which finding rests on which evidence.

Frequently Asked Questions About AI Visibility Analysis
What is an AI visibility analysis?
An AI visibility analysis is a diagnostic service that measures how your brand appears today in AI answers such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, and turns the result into a roadmap. It shows which questions you are mentioned in, whether you are cited as a source, where you stand against your competitors and whether the information about you is correct.
Which platforms does the analysis cover?
Mainly ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews; we set the scope with you at the start of the analysis. We measure each engine separately, because the engines use different sources and can recommend different companies for the same question.
How is ChatGPT visibility analyzed?
We ask ChatGPT a question list tailored to your industry and check whether your brand is mentioned, in what context, whether it is cited as a source, how it is presented compared with your competitors and whether the information about you is correct.
How long does the analysis take?
We deliver the first report, together with a prioritized roadmap, within one week. After that, we measure again with the same question list and compare the change against the baseline report.
What is delivered at the end of the analysis?
A baseline report, a competitor comparison, a source map, technical readiness findings, an accuracy check, and a roadmap with a priority list.
What is the difference between Magna AI Analyzer and the AI Visibility Analysis?
Magna AI Analyzer is the tool that measures visibility in AI answers at the level of questions, engines, competitors, citations and sources. The AI Visibility Analysis is the service that turns this data, together with the technical findings of Magna GEO Auditor, into expert interpretation, diagnosis, prioritization and a roadmap.
Does the analysis guarantee results?
No. No analysis can guarantee appearing, being cited or being recommended in AI answers. The analysis measures where you stand today, classifies the problems and shows what you should do first.
Which brands is an AI visibility analysis right for?
It is right for brands that want to know how they are described in AI answers, want to find out whether their competitors are more visible in AI, or want to see their starting point before beginning GEO work.
Is an AI visibility analysis the same as an SEO analysis?
No. An SEO analysis looks at your site's organic ranking, technical structure and content performance in Google. An AI visibility analysis measures how your brand is mentioned, cited and presented in AI answers compared with your competitors. The two support each other, but they are not the same.
